Quick confession: we use AI. We’re a tiny, bootstrapped brand, and it helps us do a lot more with a lot less. You deserve to know where and how, so here’s the honest version.
Where AI lends a hand
- Ideas and words. AI helps us shape ideas and tidy up our writing, from product descriptions to this very website. The stories, messages and experiences behind it all are real, and they’re ours.
- Running the shop. It helps with the boring-but-important stuff behind the scenes: keeping listings tidy, managing stock and keeping the website ticking along. It helped us build this website, too.
- Finishing some designs. Every design starts life as an idea from our own team: the message, the layout, the feel. For some pieces, AI tools help us polish the final artwork. But a real person always decides what gets printed.
Where it doesn’t
- Our messages are chosen by people, for people.
- We’ll never use AI to make up reviews, customers or testimonials. Ever.
- We won’t use AI to copy the style of a named, living artist.
- When you email us, a real human reads it and writes back.
A word on our product images
Most of our product pictures are digital mock-ups, showing how each design looks once it’s printed, rather than photos of the finished thing. Colours on your screen might be a touch different in real life. As we grow, we’ll swap in proper photos of real people wearing them.
Why we use it right now
BigBoldHappinessCo is bootstrapped. No investors, no marketing budget, just a small team and a big idea. AI lets us get going without cutting corners on the stuff that really matters: good clothes, kind words and treating people properly.
Where we’re heading
As things grow, we want to pay real artists to create designs that share what we’re about. Paid fairly, and credited by name on every piece they make with us. If you’re an artist and that sounds like your kind of thing, we’d love to hear from you at hello@bigboldhappiness.co.
Your data
We don’t sell your personal details, and we don’t use them to train AI. Simple as that. Our Privacy Policy has the full details on what we collect and why.
