Made for you. Not for landfill.
Let’s be real: we’re a tiny brand, and we haven’t fixed fashion. But we can make clothes a bit more thoughtfully. Here’s what we do, what our print partner does, and what we’re still working on.
Nothing made until it’s wanted.
Here’s the thing about fashion: it makes way too much. Huge batches get made on a hunch, and whatever doesn’t sell gets marked down, shredded or binned.
We just don’t do that. Every single piece is printed after someone orders it. No overstock, no warehouse full of hoodies nobody wanted, no end-of-season clear-out. If nobody wants it, it simply never gets made.
Kinder inks, lighter packaging.
Our print partner prints each design straight onto the garment, one at a time.
They use water-based inks, which they describe as non-hazardous, toxin-free and biodegradable. Printing straight onto the garment also means there are no screens to make and wash for every design, and only the ink each print actually needs.
Your order turns up in packaging our partner makes from eco-friendly and recycled materials. They’re working towards a supply chain that wastes less, which is a big part of why we chose them.
Built to last, not to trend.
Our messages aren’t trendy or seasonal, so your hoodie won’t look dated next year.
We pick heavyweight pieces that are made to be worn, washed and worn again. Look after yours and it’ll look after you:
- Wash at 30°C, inside out, on a gentle cycle.
- Give the tumble dryer a miss when you can. Air drying is kinder to the print, and to the planet.
- Never iron straight onto the print.
- Finished with it? Pass it on. The message works just as well on someone else.
The honest bit.
We’d much rather be honest than just sound green.
- Right now, our garments are regular cotton and cotton-polyester blends, not organic or recycled.
- Orders are printed by our partner and shipped to the UK from overseas, which adds to their footprint.
- We don’t have any sustainability certifications yet, so you won’t catch us calling our products “eco”.
Making clothes always has an impact, and we’re definitely not perfect. But we’re always looking for ways to do better, and we’re always opening conversations with potential supply chain partners about an even greener way of working.
As things change, we’ll keep you posted, warts and all.
Better, bit by bit.
We’re bootstrapped, so these will happen as sales allow. When one does, you’ll hear about it here first.
-
Lower-impact fabrics
Our partner offers organic cotton, bamboo and plant-based Sorona, and we’d love future ranges to use them.
-
Plastic-free extras
Swapping to eco mailers and recycled paper hang tags as soon as we can.
-
Closer to home
Looking into printing closer to the UK, so your order doesn’t have to travel nearly as far.
Wear something kind. Keep it for years.
Got questions about how our clothes are made, or ideas for how we could do better? Honestly, we’d love to hear them.
